Out of all supplements, amino acids are my favorite. There are 20 different amino acids and each one enriches our bodies in different ways. Amino acids do everything from helping neurologically to rebuild neurotransmitters to speeding up metabolism, building collagen, addictive and compulsive behaviors to leaky gut.

The three amino acids essential for metabolism and producing ATP are l-glycine, l-methionine and l-carnitine. Instead of supplementing by taking a separate supplement for each one, I looked for (and found) an amino acid complex that contains all three of these amino acids. L-glycine and l-carnitine assist with fat burning, additionally glycine may help regulate sugar levels which helps to reduce nicotine cravings and is also needed for collagen production. L-methionine is converted to phosphates essential for your body to produce ATP.

In addition to this amino acid complex, I take protein collagen powder with my coffee in the morning and an amino acid complex powder that can be added to water in the afternoon. Both of these also contain glycine, methionine and carnitine.
